Doctors’ Day, Island Edition: Prescriptions for a Good Life

Most prescriptions are designed to address specific issues – a fever, a sore knee, high blood pressure – you get the idea. But not everything worth prescribing comes in pill form.

To celebrate Doctors’ Day on March 30, we invited our doctors to share their best prescriptions for a good life – no pharmacy required.

Raymond A. James, D.O., Medical Director

“Exercise is the best prescription a physician can give for physical and mental health. I recommend frequent beach walks and watching every sunset, as each one is unique and will never be seen again.”

Bret Kueber, M.D., Assistant Medical Director

“My prescription for stress reduction: Take all electronic devices and lock them away for 24 hours, may repeat as necessary for stress reduction.”

Emily Haly, M.D.

“Take in one sunset as often as possible – no phone, no distractions. Sometimes the best medicine is as simple as looking up and soaking in where you are.”

Island-Style Care

Say Thanks This Doctor’s Day

A kind word can go a long way. If a doctor at the Clinic has made a difference in your life, we invite you to share a tribute in their honor. We’ll pass along your message and feature it on our website to help celebrate the care they give our community.
