75th Anniversary Street Party set for April 7

The Boca Grande Health Clinic has come a long way since the mid 1900s when an out-of-town doctor treated patients once a week in a small room above the Railroad Depot. The journey to 75 years wasn’t always easy. It required courage, passion, and perseverance – and the steadfast support of the Island community.

In recognition of this major milestone, the Boca Grande Health Clinic and Foundation will hold a street party on Tuesday, November 1. Festivities include food trucks, celebratory beverages and entertainment by the “Swinging Bridge” bluegrass band.

Healthy Together

The theme of Boca Grande Health Clinic’s 75th anniversary year – “Healthy Together” – celebrates the people who helped build and support the Clinic through the years and the caregivers and donors who sustain it today. “Over the years, we have proven that there are no problems that cannot be overcome when we work together,” said Mark Driscoll, Clinic CEO. “Our history is one marked by triumph over adversity. Perseverance in the face of challenges both big and small. And most of all, an unyielding commitment to community.”

“Healthy Together” signifies partnership and collaboration and embodies the spirit in which the Island comes together to create a vibrant, healthy and safe Island community.
