All of us are facing challenges of some kind as we manage life in the high-risk world of the COVD-19 pandemic. Identifying pandemic induced stressors and their effect on our daily life and finding ways to safely and effectively cope will be addressed during this free webinar.

About the Speaker

Alexander P. Miano, MD, is an Ivy League trained and board-certified psychiatry specialist at Hartford HealthCare’s Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT, and has more than 26 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City in 1995 and completed his residency/fellowship in neuropsychiatry, transcranial magnetic stimulation and clinical psychopharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine in 2000.

Dr. Miano spent six years at Yale University School of Medicine as medical director of the Clozapine Clinic and as an assistant professor before moving to the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he was medical director, chief of emergency department psychiatric service, then opened his own neuropsychiatry behavioral medicine practice, where he served adult and geriatric patients for 14 years. He joined the Yale New Haven Health/Lawrence & Memorial Medical Group where he served for five years as chief of services/medical director of outpatient behavioral medicine. His past experience also includes two years as medical director at United Services, Inc. in Connecticut.

Dr. Miano currently practices adult and geriatric psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, psychopharmacology at at Hartford HealthCare.
